Natalie Briney – Exhibition at the HEART
Natalie Briney will be exhibiting her new body of works, Dig Deep, at the Margaret River HEART as part of Margaret River Open Studios and CinefestOZ Film Festival.

Community Pantry Day – Fridays
Every Friday from 10 to 2 the Margaret River Community Pantry gives members of the community access to a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables, dry good staples, dairy and frozen meat.

Book Chat Club (ages 10-14)
Book Chat Club is held at 4.15pm at the Margaret River Library on the last Monday of every month, for those aged between ten and fourteen.
Each meeting the group chats about what they have read and gives reviews. There is no ‘set’ book – only a genre or theme is picked, the book is up to the reader.

Free RAT Tests & Masks at the Augusta CRC
Western Australians who are COVID close contacts are each entitled to 10 free RAT tests to help them meet testing requirements while asymptomatic (1 per day for 7 days). RAT tests are available for Augusta residents from the Augusta Hospital from 8-4 Monday-Friday, and for Margaret River residents from the Margaret River Hospital from 9-5 Monday-Friday.

Jacky Cheng, a visual artist from Broome, will be holding an artist talk at the Margaret River Library on May 19 at 6pm to discuss her practice working with Orizome, a Japanese fold and dye paper art.
You can also attend a free workshop with Jacky on May 18 at the Margaret River Community Centre from 1-4pm to try this technique for yourself.

The Lions Cancer Institute free screening bus is going to be at The Lions shed, located at 12 Burton Rd, on Saturday 30 April & Sunday 1 May.
The Bus offers appointments to have your skin checked for cancer, and while the service is free donations can be made to support the service.

Gracetown 2022 Easter Bay Swim
The Gracetown community is holding its annual Easter Bay Swim on 16th April at the Main Beach in Cowaramup Bay. The swim is approximately 1km starting at 9.30am.
Swimmers of all abilities are welcome and the Gracetown Sea Rescue Group will be in attendance, but the most important thing is to have fun!

Margaret River Lions Garage Sale
The Margaret River Lions still have vacancies for community groups to work the grant in their shed on garage sale weekends.
Assistance is required Friday and Saturday mornings, with at least 2 capable of lifting heavy furniture, and all must be at least 18 years old.
There are also plenty of vacancies for groups to run the sausage sizzle on the Saturday.

Cape Walk for Life with Lifeline
Join Lifeline on Sunday April 10 at 9am for a free walk on the northern end of the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse.
The community walk is open to everyone, highlighting the importance of mental health and suicide prevention in our community. It provides an opportunity to support and encourage discussion about this important topic.

The Ringtail Tally is now in its 8th year
Help Nature Conservation count Western ringtail possums in the Margaret River area, by registering to join this year’s Ringtail Tally on Saturday April 9.
All you have to do is count critically endangered ringtails on at least one occasion over 4 weeks.

New coastal research aims to keep coastal areas safer
The AMR Shire are programmed to undertake a coastal investigation in Augusta, starting at Albany Terrace to the north adjacent to Blackwood River entrance and Davies Road and Dawson Way connection to the south starting Monday 21 and anticipated to end Friday 25 March.
With the exception of traffic control, there is expected to be minimal disturbance to adjacent residents and no environmental impacts.
