WHAT CAN I DO?

There are so many different skills needed by a radio station and most of them equip you for lots of other areas of your life. Just some of the things you can help us with:

  • Research and script writing
  • Music research and metadata input
  • Fundraising
  • Website and social media updates
  • Producing and Presenting
  • Voice over work
  • Sound technician and outside broadcasts

We provide first class training by accredited and qualified trainers. Your first step is to email manager@radiomargaretriver.com and enquire about how to get started or dive right in and apply for membership via this form.

To be a local media training hub.

CHAIR | PAULINE MCLEOD
Pauline and her family own the Margaret River BookShop. She has a 30 year history of community involvement having served as a councillor and Deputy Shire President in our Shire and as President of the Margaret River Chamber of Commerce. She is a former manager of the local tourism association, a teacher, a marketing and events manager and served on several national and state boards in tourism and regional development.

DEPUTY CHAIR | JOE FORTE

TREASURERS | BREE DODD/REBECCA LEMM
Rebecca has called Margaret River home for the past 20 years. She’s worked as a senior manager with the Tourism Association for over a decade, helping to promote and support our beautiful region. In her spare time, she volunteers as a coach with the Margaret River Netball Association.

SECRETARY | MATT WITTORF

MEMBER | ANGELA DUFTY
Angela joins us with a strong background in arts, working in theatre production and event management for the likes of Circus Oz, Opera Australia, Australia Ballet and most recently and for the last decade in logistics for Sculptures by the Sea. A life long fan of independent voice and media, she is enthusiastic to see us go free to air.

Operations

STATION MANAGER | RICHARD LEE-PULLEN
Bringing enthusiasm, great people skills and an abundance of local knowledge to the role, Richard is keen for the station to be an integral part of life in the shire.

OPERATIONS MANAGER | IAN HILL
Having lived and breathed radio for over 40 years and taught it in 4 universities as well as being employed in every possible role, it’s fair to say that the medium is very special to Ian. As an accredited trainer and mentor, he relishes the opportunity to upskill people in the craft of broadcasting. Luckily he also has a technical bent, hence his involvement in this role.

PROGRAM COORDINATOR | JOE FORTE
New to the role but with a comprehensive knowledge of music and sound as a musician. Experience working with volunteers and community groups.

MUSIC DIRECTOR | CATE WORSLEY
Life-long passion for live and recorded music and committed community volunteer.
Founding member of RMR. Writer and co-presenter of Friday On My Mind radio show.
