RMR 101.9
RMR 101.9 (Radio Margaret River) is a not-for-profit community radio station. It’s the first of its kind in Margaret River and has been created by a group of talented, skilled volunteers, passionate about music and community connections. Our objective is to provide quality programming that is entertaining, informative and uplifting.
Providing free training in all aspects of radio, including writing, recording, editing, and presenting, and giving volunteers access to use new, state-of-the-art equipment, RMR 101.9 provides local individuals, organisations and businesses a “voice.” Our aim is to support local music, arts, community groups, tourism and businesses in the region.
Get involved
To achieve these goals we need the support of the community. From volunteers hosting radio programs to businesses sponsoring the station, there are numerous ways to support us. We rely on the generosity and commitment of the community we serve.
We welcome new volunteers and provide top class training from accredited trainers. A number of roles exist to suit all types of people and interests. Email manager@radiomargaretriver.com

The Team
CHAIR | PAULINE MCLEOD
Pauline and her family own the Margaret River BookShop. She has a 30 year history of community involvement having served as a councillor and Deputy Shire President in our Shire and as President of the Margaret River Chamber of Commerce. She is a former manager of the local tourism association, a teacher, a marketing and events manager and served on several national and state boards in tourism and regional development.
DEPUTY CHAIR | JOE FORTE
Joe brings a comprehensive knowledge of music in both performance and production, and has extensive experience working with volunteers and community groups. Having grown up, gone to school and formed his first band in Margaret River, Joe is passionate about the community and the connections radio is able to create, in particular, by providing information about local events and playing great music.
TREASURER | REBECCA LEMM
Rebecca has called Margaret River home for the past 20 years. She’s worked as a senior manager with the Tourism Association for over a decade, helping to promote and support our beautiful region. In her spare time, she volunteers as a coach with the Margaret River Netball Association.
SECRETARY | MATTHEW WITTORFF
With a strong background in the not-for-profit sector, Matthew has worked extensively supporting people with disabilities, bringing experience in strategy, compliance, and delivering high-quality services. Growing up in regional WA during the 1980s, radio was an important part of daily life, and music played a big role in shaping his love for community connection. He’s proud to be part of RMR, helping keep the spirit of radio alive for future generations.
MARKETING | ANGELA DUFTY
Angela joins us with a strong background in arts, working in theatre production and event management for the likes of Circus Oz, Opera Australia, Australia Ballet and most recently and for the last decade in logistics for Sculptures by the Sea. A life long fan of independent voice and media, she is enthusiastic to see us go free to air.
MARKETING | MARTINA De PASCALIS
Martina brings a multidisciplinary skillset to the team. She relocated to Margaret River in early 2025 to advance her career as a Construction Project Manager. With a background in architecture and a passion for design, graphics, and music, she approached RMR to become involved with a local not-for-profit community organisation. Martina has played the piano since the age of eight and is also a yoga teacher.
Operations
STATION MANAGER | RICHARD LEE-PULLEN
Bringing enthusiasm, great people skills and an abundance of local knowledge to the role, Richard is keen for the station to be an integral part of life in the shire.
TECHNICAL AND TRAINING COORDINATOR | IAN HILL
Having lived and breathed radio for over 40 years and taught it in 4 universities as well as being employed in every possible role, it’s fair to say that the medium is very special to Ian. As an accredited trainer and mentor, he relishes the opportunity to upskill people in the craft of broadcasting. Luckily he also has a technical bent, hence his involvement in this role.
PROGRAM COORDINATOR | JOE FORTE
Joe brings a comprehensive knowledge of music in both performance and production, and has extensive experience working with volunteers and community groups. Having grown up, gone to school and formed his first band in Margaret River, Joe is passionate about the community and the connections radio is able to create, in particular, by providing information about local events and playing great music.
