The first week of August is Homelessness Week.

In collaboration with WAAEH - the Western Australian Alliance to End Homelessness, RMR is interviewing people with a deep involvement with the issue of homelessness. We talk to both policy and solution providers as well as a community member who has experienced homelessness first hand.

You will hear from representatives of local community organisations such as 'Just Home' and 'Lamp Inc', as well as the Augusta Margaret River Shire, discussing the impacts of housing security on our region and communities. We also interview Kath Snell from 'Shelter WA' - a peak body working to advocate for solutions to housing needs at the state level.

Interviews will be broadcast live on RMR 101.9 every day at 5pm from Monday 4th August 2025 until Friday 8th August, and will be available to listen on demand on the website once aired.
