WALK AND TALK

Fair Harvest is hosting a Weed Walk and Talk workshop this Sunday to help you identify and forage for edible and medicinal weeds and how to use them in the kitchen or for medicinal purposes. This 90 minute session begins at 11am and is $20 per person.

ART

Mothers, daughters, sisters and friends are invited to the opening night of the Warrior Women photo exhibition this Friday at 5.30pm at the Margaret River Tafe. Inspired by Warrior women of the past, this extraordinary photo exhibition by Kendra Benson, features students from the high school and showcases the creative journey of young women finding their “Inner Warrior“.

And this Sunday, local artist Meg Hodgson is celebrating the opening of her new studio located at Fair Harvest that she fondly calls ‘the shed behind the barn’. Her new exhibition is open from 3.30 until 6 and Meg will be there to chat about her inspiration and works.

Then on Monday, the life-size ocean art exhibition by Ian Daniell opens at The Heart. It’s a joyous exhibition celebrating our iconic ocean fauna in large scale format paintings that are incredibly unique. The exhibition opens at 10 and runs through until Christmas with limited edition prints available to purchase.

FILM

And, this Friday, a delightfully feel good film, Chef Antonio’s Recipes for Revolution is screening at The Heart at 7pm. It follows the story of Antonio’s restaurant and hotel staffed by young men and women with Down Syndrome. It serves up a huge dose of heart and soul, with a lot of laughter along the way.
