Thank a Volunteer

Thursday 10th December is Thank a Volunteer Day.

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River would like to thank local volunteers for their contributions to the community.

Refreshments, food and entertainment will be provided at this celebratory event in honour of our volunteers from 6.00 – 8.00pm. If you’d like to attend please contact the Shire.

The Augusta Community Resource Centre will host a Volunteer Christmas Barbecue on Friday 11th December, from 4 pm to 6pm. If you would like to nominate a volunteer to receive a certificate at this event please contact the Augusta CRC.

Movies at Cape Mentelle

Movies at Cape Mentelle return on Friday 11th. Please check their website for all screenings.

The Heart

The Heart will be closed on Friday from 1.00pm to 4.00pm for an all-staff meeting.

The Heart will be open again on Monday 14th for the Young at Heart programme, Pay Tribute to Nature at a tribute tree gathering with Georgina Kelly with poetry readings and live music from 10 .00am.

U3A

On Monday enrolments will open for U3A Margaret River.

U3A practices and promotes lifelong learning. You can visit their website to see the programme and enrol on Monday at the Shire offices.

Courses are low cost and cash only.

Quiz Nights

Quiz Nights are on Tuesday nights at the Pourhouse in Dunsborough, and Thursday nights at Burger Baby in Margaret River.

Come and join Mike and Grant with questions from 7.30pm. It’s free to play. There are prizes and it’s lots of fun. Please book a table for either venue.

Christmas Cabaret

This weekend the Margaret River Theatre group will present their annual Christmas Cabaret. This year it’s “We Love Christmas” directed by Ian Smith.

Tickets are almost sold out for the three shows so you’ll need to be quick to catch some of the regions finest voices.
