Calling all Crew!

Our first run of bumper stickers has arrived and if you’ve “joined the crew” you’ll be the first in town to get one!

This is just a small offering for those legends that have jumped on board already and are helping us to make sure RMR is here to stay. We’ll be rolling out much more to crew members as we evolve.

Crew will be sent the details of where you can grab your sticker in the next newsletter.

Thanks for all your feedback and support thus far, keep it coming. If this local community radio station is going to work we need you to back it.

“Join the crew”, become “corporate crew”, partner with us, advertise with us, volunteer.

Thank You

A big shout-out to Retra-Vision Margaret River. They’ve kindly donated a printer which is much appreciated.

Please remember to support our local stores.

Reid from Juice Print in Busselton has also come on as a partner and is supporting us with our signage needs.

Just a little Patience

Like all good things building a great radio station will take time.

We’re so fortunate not to feel the effects of COVID too heavily here, it’s when you’re trying to get stuff done that the COVID effect hits hardest.

Equipment is on its way…slowly, internet is being connected…slowly. Our app is being developed… slowly.

In the words of Axl “just a little patience yeah, yeah”.

New Shows

We are building our local programming.

The Gig Guide with Angela D’Arcy-Evans has kicked off – you can hear it on Wednesdays at 3:30pm and 6:00pm and Thursdays at 9:30am and 3:30pm.

It’s also now available on demand on our programming page.

We’ve rolled out our Community Call-outs segment with Karen Tearney. This is a free service for community organisations looking for assistance to get their message out to  locals.

It airs at 9:00am and 4:00pm every day of the week.

If you have a message for this segment please send it to hello@radiomargaretriver.com.

What’s On is also about to take flight. This little piece will keep you up to date with what’s happening in and around the region. “What’s On” drops on Thursdays at 11:00am and 3:00pm and Fridays at 10:00am and 3:00pm.

Your Music

I hope you’ve had a chance to tune in and you’re enjoying the music mix. If you’ve got some music to donate please get in touch with our music curator Cate Worsely at listen@radiomargaretriver.com.

If you’re a local muso and you want some air-play, get your tracks to Angela D’Arcy-Evans at music@radiomargaretriver.com so we can put them in our Local Produce playlist, dedicated to our homegrown heroes.

Local Produce airs from 4-6pm on Wednesdays and at the end of the month we’re taking it up a notch. Local muso and music teacher Mike Goodwin and his partner in life and crime Angela D’Arcy-Evans will host this slot. They’ll be featuring local musos, showcasing their work and getting to know them.

Coming Soon

Surf Reports and The Local Pulse, our news and events show hosted by local journo Nicky Lefebvre, will be the next local programs to hit the airwaves so stay tuned.

Join us!

If you haven’t joined the crew…do it. You’ll get a bumper sticker and be kept up to date with what’s going on.

I’ll leave you with a little something Mike and Ange have thrown together in their very limited spare time…brilliant! What a talented lot we’ve got.
