RMR is 8 weeks old today! What a wild ride it’s been.

Eskimo Joe tickets from The River

We are so thrilled to welcome The River as our new Gold partner.
The River Hotel is Margaret River’s premiere live show venue. They’ve got an amazing line up of gigs over the next few weeks.
Eskimo Joe is hitting Margs on November 6th and The River have donated some tickets for us to giveaway to you.

To go in the draw, sign up to join the RMR Crew by midnight October 30th and if you’re already a Crew member, get a friend to sign up and enter your name in the order notes, then you’ll both go in the draw. The more friends you sign up, the more chances you’ll have to win 2 tickets to Eskimo Joe.

And, if you sign up a Corporate Crew member you’ll also go in the draw for 2 tickets and $50 River voucher. Winners will be drawn on Monday November 2nd.

Android App is live

Our android app has arrived! To download it go to the Play store, search RMR and enjoy.

The Apple app is still a couple more weeks away. We hope these apps make it even easier for you to tune in.

RMR at the Farmers Market

We had a great day at the Farmers Market last Saturday, playing out our RMR tunes to the crowd and some more great prizes were won.

Stoked to have our new T-shirts, these are just for volunteers at this stage, but we hope to gather enough funds to do a bigger run so you can have one too.

We’re working on our Podcast Page. It will have local RMR podcasts as well as recommendations for other good ones to wrap your ears around.

Please drop us a line with your favourite podcast.

Mental Health

We’ve just had mental health week so it’s a good time to mention one of our valuable new organisations – Mindful Margaret River.

It’s the one stop shop to find out where you can find help locally.

The Think Mental Health website is also worth a look.

Mike and Ange have started hosting Local Produce on Wednesdays from 4:00pm till 6:00pm. Showcasing tunes from our local talent along with interviews, thanks to Kiera Jas and Dan White for being amongst our first guests.

Community Callouts are rolling every day at 9am and 4pm. If you’re a Not-for-profit or community organisation and need assistance, email Karen at hello@radiomargaretriver.com. Have a look on our Community Callouts page for examples.

What’s On has also started. Special thanks to the Margaret River HEART for coming on as sponsors of this segment. Again, if you have an event coming up please let us know so we can include it  – music@radiomargaretriver.com.

What’s On airs on Thursdays at 11:00 and 3:00pm and Fridays at 10:00 and 3:00pm.

And don’t miss the Gig Guide every Wednesday at 3:30 and 6:30pm and Thursday at 10:00 and 3:30pm.

You’ll also hear our new RMR jingle made by the kids at Thomas Moore Primary School and gardening tips from the ABC’s Steve Woods.

Fiona Horne coming up soon

Fiona Horne got in touch with us. She was the blonde dreadlocked singer of 90’s Aussie rock band Def Fx.

Fiona’s now landed amongst us in Dunsborough, we’ll have the full story on how that came about on air soon.

Fiona is also a white witch and she’s going to do a radio show for us celebrating creative women. We can’t wait! She’s making music here so keep your eye out for gigs with Spiff and Fifi and Seawitch.

Fiona Horne will be talking to RMR soon

RMR Office is open

Our office is open and the studio is coming together. If you’d like to volunteer, drop in and see us.

Office hours are Mon-Wed 10-3pm. We’re at the Margaret River Community Centre, 33 Tunbridge St, next to where the Red Cross Op Shop was.

If you’re a Crew member you can grab yourself a bumper sticker or you can also pick these up from Retyre in Town Square and Blue Ginger on Station Rd.

Special Thanks to Corporate Crew

A special thanks to all our Corporate Crew members.

Your support is so appreciated, we can’t do this without the support of the local business community or the locals so let’s build this radio station together.

Good luck in the draw for Eskimo Joe tickets, have a listen to their latest single, the first one in 7 years, Say Something.
