Spring is round the corner, and this weekend we have some amazing gigs with local musicians, and they all have no cover charge. Don’t forget to check out the Cinefestoz program which begins tonight, and some events include local musicians playing in the foyer.

 

Thursday 26th August

Sean and Cassandra are live at Caves House Hotel from 6pm in the piano room.

Also at Caves House there is a faulty Towers Tribute and dining experience event. Hopefully Manuel is not in the kitchen! ( or Basil for that matter! ). That starts from 7.30 and tickets available from caveshousehotelyallingup.com.au.

It’s quiz night at Burger Baby with Mike and Grant. It’s heaps of fun, free to play and great prizes. Please note the questions start at 7pm sharp, you’ll need to book a table so you don’t miss out.

 

Friday 27th August

Caves House has live music with Chain Reaction Duo from 5.30pm, however if jazz is more your style you can be entertained with Paula Renee performing jazz favourites, in a duo, from 6.30pm. (That’s in the piano room)

Margaret River Tapas & Bar are hosting a quiz night from 6pm with yours truly, and Grant, tables of 6 people, a wonderful menu on offer, and bookings can be made by phone, or emailing bookings@margaretrivertapas.bar.

The Brewhouse Friday session starts from 4.30pm and Mufassa will entertain, and this is a family friendly venue.

Steve and Pete are the Fagan Brothers, they create an awesome atmosphere with a comprehensive array of covers from the 70s till now, and of course they harmonise like only brothers can. Doors open from 7pm, at The River, and it’s free entry.

It’s the next edition of the WA Latin Party, with 100% latin music by Venjamin, expect a full dance floor. Doors open from 9pm, with free entry.

 

Saturday 28th August

Ricky Green is becoming a regular at Aravina Estate, and he’s live from 12.30pm, there’s a full bar menu, and a casual dining menu on offer.

Delta Blues musician Martin Lee Cropper is performing at Caves House from 5.30pm.

The River is keeping it local with a cosy night of entertainment with the vivacious Kiera Jas, she’s been a busy musician with plenty of gigs throughout August. Doors open from 7pm, and once again, there’s no cover charge. Also check Kiera out on Sunday playing for the Cinefestoz film event.

Hippo Crush, a four piece band, are returning to the Settlers Tavern on Saturday night. They have a swag of original alternate rock originals, plus plenty of rocking covers to get you on the dance floor in no time, entry from 9pm, with no cover charge.

 

Sunday 29th August

Clancy’s Fish Pub Dunsborough has a session starting from 4pm with Grace Sanders playing solo, and the support act is to be announced shortly. That’s from 4pm, with no cover charge.

Tracey Barnett is ready to hit the road and tour with a new album Eyes Forward, and is launching the new single from it called “Freedom,” she’s performing her stomping blues and rhythms at The River, session starts from 3pm, and is free and family friendly.

The Brewhouse Sunday session is always lovely and this week Damien Tate is per-forming from 4.30pm. You may be best to book a table.

 

Monday 30th August

There is live music at Caves House Hotel with Anna Bogachova playing the baby grand piano from 6pm.

 

Tuesday 31st August

Jam night is on again at Caves House Hotel, so muster up your courage and hit the stage from 6.30pm.

 

Wednesday 1st September

Mike and Grant host the quiz night at the Pourhouse Dunsborough. It’s free to play with great prizes. Book a table, questions start from 7.30pm.
