Thursday 22nd July
The first event for Homegrown@Heart, which is in conjunction with Cabin Fever is locals playing folk music, at The Heart on the main stage from 7.30pm. There is an amazing line up of local talent including Kiera Jas, Moody Cows, Crooked Brook and Wade de Boulay to name a few. There will also be local talent in the foyer prior to the main event and art exhibitions on display also. Tickets via margaretriverheart.com.au.
Sean and Cassandra continue with their show at Caves House, in the piano room from 6pm.
It’s quiz night at Burger Baby with Mike and Grant. It’s heaps of fun, free to play and great prizes. Please note the questions start at 7pm sharp, so book a table so you don’t miss out.
Friday 23rd July
The Caves House Hotel continues its Friday night Jazz & Cocktails with Paula Renee performing in a duo, all your jazz favourites, doors open from 6.30pm and the live music is from 7pm.
The Brewhouse has a full house Friday night with the Backyard Brewing Awards night – that’s right, it’s sold out!
Well known locals Mama Kin and Moon & Honey, Dan White and Emjay Angeni, feature for the Homegrown@Heart event on Friday night from 7.30pm. Mama Kin is an award winning artist who is a multi instrumentalist and her playful performances centre around story and song. Moon & Honey showcase impeccable vocal harmonies and lovely interwoven guitars. Live on the main theatre stage there will also be story telling from Zac Webb, plus live music in the foyer with Maya Icxchell, it’s a very special event. Tickets via margaretriverheart.com.au.
The Finn Pearson Band are celebrating the release of their new piece of country-folk-rock song titled “No Apologies”, and also had their first WAM nomination for ‘Most Popular New Act”. They are kicking off their tour at The River and are joined by locals Banjo Lucia, Sash Seabourne and Redcliffe. This gets underway from 7pm and tickets available via oztix.com.au.
I can guarantee this will be a fun night with our very own Simo & Edlin rocking the Settlers Tavern with their DJ show. Doors open from 9pm, with free entry.
Saturday 24th July
Quick mention of a Worldwide Rally for Freedom at Reuther Park, Margaret River, from 12pm this Saturday where there will be connection, song, freedom, love and human rights.
If you couldn’t get to the Brewhouse Friday, you’ll be pleased to know you can see Ryan Hodgson perform at Aravina Estate from 12noon, they have a full drinks list & casual menu on offer.
Sunday 25th July
The Caves House Hotel presents Anna Bogachova for a live music session on the baby grand piano, from 6pm, with free entry.
Vocalist and guitarist Chris Hawker will entertain you with cruisy tunes at the Brewhouse Sunday session from 4.30pm.
The River presents a stripped back Sunday session with Death by Carrot, they play riffs from the Black Sabbath/ Pink Floyd side of the rock n roll tree, with Psychonautic Earthborn grooves, that’s from 5pm and is a free event.
Tuesday 27th July
Jam Night is on at Caves House Hotel, come and share your talents on stage from 6pm.
Wednesday 28th July
Mike and Grant host the quiz night at the Pourhouse Dunsborough. It’s free to play with great prizes. Book a table, questions start from 7.30pm.
