IT IS WITH GREAT EXCITEMENT that Radio Margaret River is adding an FM transmission to its current streaming service. At 7pm on Friday 28th March 2025, the button will be pushed and RMR101.9fm will be LIVE.
This is the culmination of many months hard work. From applying for the license, to seeking funding and then actually building the studios! Thank you goes out to some of the key players that kept the energy when things got overwhelming. Chair-person, Pauline McLeod; Operations Manager, Ian Hill; and builder, Craig Williams. Without these three, RMR could have ended transmission in July 2024. Instead, they saw the huge benefits that a local FM station would bring the Margaret River community. Thanks also to the RMR Board, all the show hosts, and everyone that gave their time to create a fabulous new environment to be creative, have fun, and make community radio at our new location.
