Young at Heart, this popular music, poetry and singing morning could be the highlight of your week! On Monday 11 October at 10am, John Stringer will be the centre of attention with his singing & playing the guitar. The venue is the HEART entertainment centre on Wallcliffe Road, Margaret River and it’s free!

WA Mental Health Week

This year’s theme for WA Mental Health Week is ‘Mental Health Starts with Our Children’. It runs from 9-16 October and there are lots of free activities at the Margaret River Youth Precinct next Friday 8 October from 1-4pm.

Margaret River Community Garden

Learn how to make Wicking Beds at the Margaret River Community Garden, Clarke Road on Sunday 10 October, from 10am. Laura Bailey will hold a workshop and discuss water-wise, verge and native gardens, which all conserve our precious water.

Also, there are two Coastal Cultural Connection Walks that you can join for free. One on Saturday 16 October, the other on 23 October. To claim your places, please register online on the nature conservation website.

Lions Garage Sale

The marvellous Margaret River Lions Club will be holding their fortnightly sale this coming Saturday 9 October. You can start buying from outside the garage from 7:30am, but the main doors roll up at 8:30am. There’ll be a wealth of goodies to buy, from cots to cameras, jigsaws to jewellery, all at extremely reasonable prices! It closes at 12noon, so be early for the best bargains.

Drop off your unwanted clean goods outside the garage on Monday 4 October and Wednesday 6 between 8am and 4pm.
