Pints for Plovers

Not much time left for this one – just till the end of September – but Margaret River Brewhouse is supporting Nature Conservation Margaret River Region and other local conservation groups by re-badging one of it’s brews as a ‘Plover Pale Ale’. $1 per pint will go towards the conservation of our local Hooded Plovers.

Plover Monitoring

And if you want to do even more to protect our Plovers sign up for the Capes Hooded Plover Monitoring Program. Contact Rebecca Bloomfield at the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions, Rebecca.Bloomfield@dbca.wa.gov.au to get involved.

Soup Kitchen

If you’re looking for a low-cost nutritious meal, head to the Margaret River Soup Kitchen every Monday and Wednesday from 5pm. Takeaways only until COVID 19 restrictions allow onsite dining again.

Monster Raffle

We’re getting to the last few days of the Margaret River Montessori School Monster Raffle. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5 and are for sale from the school. There are 4 fantastic hampers to be won.

Coastal Walks

It’s almost Kambarang, the aboriginal season of wildflowers and birth. Wadandi Cultural Custodian Zac Webb is leading a number of Coastal Walks to share his knowledge of aboriginal cultural values and connections to the coast. Places are limited so contact Nature Conservation Margaret River on 9757 2202 Tuesday to Thursday to find out more.
