National Volunteer Week 17-23 May
The Shire will be hosting a free Introduction to Volunteering workshop led by the community development officer, Kim Rosenfeld, on the benefits of volunteering and anyone looking for volunteer roles, on Tues 18 May 10-12pm at the Margaret River HEART.

Social Media Basics for Community Groups
Looking for a workshop that will introduce you to social media and how to use socials to promote your community group?
The Social Media Basics workshop will be the answer. The session will cover basic social media functions, planning and the creation of engaging content. Nannas for Native Forests
On Thursday 20th May the Nannas for Native Forests will be leaf-stitching from 11.30am-1pm at Riversmith Cafe on Margaret River main street.
They raise awareness of the plight of our forests and campaign to stop logging, stitch by stitch, leaf by leaf, and conversation by conversation.
Anyone is welcome to join them. No need to bring anything. They have everything you’ll need and can teach you if you’re not sure what to do.

Community Fire workshop
The Undalup Association is holding a Traditional Fire Workshop on Thurs 27th May from 1pm-6pm at Tanah Marah Function Centre. The workshop will include guest speakers Wadandi Elder Dr Wayne Webb and Wadandi Cultural Custodian Iszaac Webb.

The Tribute Tree Sponsored Workshop
A call out for children aged 6 – 11 years for a marine workshop! It is on Saturday 22nd 1:30 – 3:30pm at the Chapel Gallery on Tunbridge Street. A marine biologist’s talk about our watery worlds is followed by an origami workshop where children can learn how to make their own amazing sea creatures. Kids are encouraged to bring along anything they have found on their beach wanderings for identification and explanation.
