Fire & Biodiversity Forum on Friday 4th June

Registrations are now open for the Fire & Biodiversity Forum at Margaret River HEART on Friday 4 June. The forum will examine the effectiveness of Broadscale prescribed burning and the ways it interacts with the natural landscape, including its impact on all living things.

Registration is from 8.45am for a 9.30am start. It’s followed by a social event from 4-6pm.

There is an additional workshop and a field trip option on Saturday 5 June.

Nannas for Native Forests

Come and join the Leaf Stitching Nannas for Native Forests! They’re meeting on Thursday 11.30 until 1pm to stitch and chat over coffee at Yardbyrd Cafe, Witchcliffe. They raise awareness and support the campaign to stop local logging of our forests.

Redgate Dune Rehabilitation

This is your chance to give back to the coast that gives us so much. Join the Friends of Redgate Beach for a dune rehabilitation working bee on Sunday 16th May, 2 – 4pm. Meet at the beach carpark and bring gloves & a water bottle.

Lions Shed Sale

The next Margaret River Lions Shed sale is on Saturday 22nd May.

Drop off for donations is Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8.30 to 4pm except for the Friday before the Saturday sale.

Park Run

If you fancy getting out and about on Saturday mornings why not try Park Run? It’s a 5km walk or run held every Saturday at 8am starting at Rotary Park and ending with a coffee at The Hairy Marron.

It’s totally free but you do need to register first before you come along.
